July 14th, 2011:As of yesterday, I have a major freelance gig starting in mid-August. It starts about the same time I leave the Moncton Times & Transcript and the Fredericton Gleaner.
(See "note" below.)
It was offered pretty fast, but it took a week to iron out.
Added to the freelance I do now, I'm okay. I still have to make up a shortfall, but I'm okay.
Would the last person who is left in New Brunswick journalism please turn out the lights.

Effective August 24th,2011, the Times & Transcript and the Fredericton Gleaner will no longer be running my work. The decision was made to realign NB Publishing's editorial budget.
I wish it wasn't the case. I was born and raised in New Brunswick and considered my job more than just a job.
I wish them the best and there are no hard feelings on my part.
This does put my future as an editorial cartoonist at risk. I've been here before and I'm a survivor.
I have about seven weeks to reinvent myself yet again. I will succeed.
